HMRC nets £1bn extra tax from high net worths
HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) has made £1 billion in tax from high net worth individuals following a voluntary compliance exercise. In 2009 HMRC launched a ‘high net worth unit’ to deal with the tax affairs of people with a net worth over £20 million.
